For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. 12 Days of Christmas - Wild edibles walk
Go wild and discover edible Australian native plants at Boondall Wetlands reserve. Join environment centre staff on a short guided tour along the Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track (place of useful plants) showcasing some of the wild edible plants used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and colonial peoples, as well as some other surprising uses. Please note collecting plants is not permitted in this protected conservation reserve. After the walk, join a short tasting session where you can try some foods prepared using native plants and find out more about some of the ‘bush food’ native plants suitable for backyards and balconies in Brisbane. Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre is a collection point for Brisbane City Council’s Free Native Plants Program. Check your eligibility and requirements online, and bring along your paid rates notice or written authority from the current financial year to collect 2 free native plants. Requirements: Children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring water and a snack as there are no food outlets on site. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain and can be adapted for indoors if required. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
School Holiday Activity - Festive Hub
It’s celebration time at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Kids come join us at the festive hub and make seasonal cards made with leaf confetti, mini wreaths and ornaments made from natural and recycled materials. See how long you can make a paper chain. Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided. Please wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a keep cup or water bottle. Meet at the Auditorium. This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the plant back into Planet.

Learn new skills on your scooter that will help you ride skate parks safely and have more fun! This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 4-17 years.
Christmas On Queen

Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Sunnybank Hills
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus.
