Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower.
The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane!
For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane.
The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. See if you can catch a glimpse of the bells!

Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
Northside Mabo Day community celebrations
On 3 June 1992, the High Court of Australia handed down a landmark decision in the Mabo case, overturning the legal concept of terra nullius - land belonging to no-one. In acknowledging the traditional rights of the Meriam people to their land, the court also held that native title existed for all Indigenous people, paving the way for new federal legislation the following year, the Native Title Act 1993. Join the Celebrations with traditional Torres Strait Islander foods, dancers and interactive cultural workshops.
Deep water running
This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there's no need to worry about being in deep water however you do require basic swimming skills. Classes will be held in the outdoor 25m/50m pool.

Magic Globe: A Story of the Seasons is an animated adventure that is perfect for engaging children from 5 to 12 years old. On vacation at her grandpa’s, a little girl named Mia accidentally discovers a mysterious piece of astronomical machinery. Edmund, Mia’s eccentric uncle, tricks the girl into using the tool’s secret powers to change the world’s seasons. She realizes the consequences of what they are going to do, but Edmund doesn’t want to let the plan go... Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
Bands in Parks - Government House Open Day
Bands in Parks performs at Government House. Champion brass band, Brisbane Excelsior plays in the grounds of Government House for the first Open Day of the year. Joined by the magnificent QLD Irish Association Pipe Band, the historic residence will be open for tours, so enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful grounds of QLD Government House with friends and family.
Park Vibes
Park Vibes returns to Victoria Park on Saturday 7 June for a fantastic afternoon of free live music and good times, from 11:30am to 4:30pm. Spend a leisurely Saturday afternoon soaking up the atmosphere while lounging and feasting with friends and family. Enjoy performances from local Brisbane artists, as well as a selection of food trucks to sip and snack from. Bring your little ones along for free and fun lawn games and kids' activities - plenty to keep them entertained! The Park Vibes June event is free entry and will be held at Victoria Park, Central Parkland, entry via Gilchrist Ave.
