The Arts Collective 'Blue' Exhibition
The Arts Collective "Blue" Exhibition showcases the 2D works of 15 Emerging artists in the collective. The theme is "Blue" - whether the colour or whatever form it takes in the artists mind. Gallery opening hours: Monday - Saturday 10am - 3pm, Sunday 10am - 2pm. Opening night is Saturday 14th from 6-10pm. Come along and meet the artists. OUTDOOR GALLERY EXHIBITION 'Craig & Karl: Rear Vision'
Brisbane City Council presents the latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition Craig & Karl: Rear Vision, co-curated by Carrie McCarthy and Angela Goddard, from 14 June to 20 October 2025. Craig & Karl: Rear Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. With their signature visual language defined by bold colour, graphic precision and infectious joy, the exhibition features some of Craig & Karl’s most celebrated series exploring themes of community, identity, imagination and love. Co-curated by Carrie McCarthy and Angela Goddard (from Griffith University Art Museum), Craig & Karl: Rear Vision includes many works never exhibited in Australia to serve as a homecoming prelude ahead of their Australian-exclusive exhibition and major public art interventions with Griffith University Art Museum and Brisbane Festival in September 2025. Craig Redman & Karl Maier first teamed up in 1996 after meeting as students at the Queensland College of Art & Design, Brisbane. They came to attention as co-founders of design collective Rinzen before establishing themselves as collaborative duo Craig & Karl in 2011. Their beginnings in Brisbane continue to inform their practice, regularly incorporating homages to the city that helped launch their careers. Their dynamic aesthetic employs the artists’ signature message of humour, joy and optimism to explore themes of community, identity, imagination, and love. Council’s Outdoor Gallery transforms Brisbane’s laneways and city streets into imaginative, curious and engaging spaces. We invite you to explore Brisbane’s hidden gems through Outdoor Gallery’s exhibition artworks found on light boxes and banners, in vitrines and as evening projections. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.
Manly Creative Markets
The Manly Creative Markets operates Every Sunday (except when Christmas Day is on a Sunday!) from 8am until 2pm, as an alternative retail outlet for local and regional creative talent, and is definitely not a flea market. You will find artisan wares, arts & crafts, plants, great coffee, entertainment, massage, fashion, pet items and so much more at the Manly Creative Markets in Little Bayside Park every Sunday. Free parking in the surrounding streets.
Brisbane Visual Arts Community pop-up shop
This is Brisbane Visual Arts Community's bi-annual art and craft pop-up shop featuring many of our different member groups displaying and selling their unique art and crafts, including ceramics, pottery, textile art and wearables, jewellery and art work. Find out more via the BVAC website.
135th Members Annual Art Exhibition
This June, the 135th RQAS Brisbane Branch Members Annual exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery! For this exhibition, members were invited to submit works in their own unique style and media across seven different sections. This year the exhibition will be split into two exhibitions that will run for three weeks each. From Thursday, 5th of June until Sunday, 22nd of June, section 1 (Oil and Acrylic paintings) and section 4 (sculpture) will be on display at Petrie Terrace Gallery. Then, from Thursday, 26th of June until Sunday, 13th of July, all other sections (2: Watercolour, 3: Photography/Digital art, 5: Drawing, 6: 2D Artworks, and 7: Pastels) will be exhibited. We will also be hosting two awards night: - Paintings and Sculpture - Awards Night: Thursday, 5th of June at 7pm - A Mix of Media - Awards Night: Friday, 27th of June at 7pm We look forward to seeing you in the gallery! The Royal Queensland Art Society is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Romero Centre Welcome Walk

Join us for a 3km or 6km walk along the Brisbane River, followed by an afternoon of cultural performances, storytelling, delicious Ethiopian coffee, BBQ, vibrant market stalls, family-friendly activities — and a lucky draw! With just a $20 donation at registration, you can help provide an essential food care pack to someone doing it tough. Your participation directly supports people seeking asylum with vital services including case coordination, housing, food relief, English classes, employment support, and social inclusion. This dazzling space show launches visitors through space and time to experience the life and death of the stars in our night sky, including our own nurturing Sun. Tour familiar stellar formations, explore new celestial mysteries, and discover the fascinating, unfolding story that connects us all to the stars. Those who come along for the journey may never see the night sky in the same way again. Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Journey to the Stars was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco; GOTO INC, Tokyo, Japan; Papalote • Museo del Niño, Mexico City, Mexico; and Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C. Journey to the Stars was created by the American Museum of Natural History, with the major support and partnership of NASA, Science Mission Directorate, Heliophysics Division.
Passport to the Universe
Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, beneath the rings of Saturn, into the heart of the Orion Nebula, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole. Narrated by Tom Hanks. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Major support for new version provided by the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Mitchelton
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.

Deeply moving and laugh-out-loud touching, this adaptation of Tim Conigrave’s memoir first came to the La Boite stage in 2013 under the direction of David Berthold.
