Bands in Parks performs at New Farm Park. Come on a musical journey with Bardon Strings, where strings come alive in a fusion of Latin flair and enchanting melodies. The ensemble will captivate your senses with the passionate rhythm of tangos, performing timeless pieces such as 'Over the Rainbow' and 'La Paloma', along with the haunting beauty of 'Gabriel's Oboe' from The Mission as well as some beautiful Asian-inspired music based on popular Taiwanese folk songs. Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents The Girl from Greece: A Tribute to Nana Mouskouri. Following the resounding success of our 90th birthday tribute concert to Nana Mouskouri in October 2024 at QPAC, The Girl From Greece Singers Katerini Manolatos and Mel Lathouras, along with their stellar band, are preparing to celebrate Nana’s music once again at Brisbane City Hall. With a career spanning over seven decades and album sales in the hundreds of millions, Nana Mouskouri has a place in the hearts of music lovers worldwide. Just mention her name, and people share their love of the singer and her music. In 'The Girl From Greece: A Tribute to Nana Mouskouri,' our audience will journey through Nana’s greatest hits, from 'Never on a Sunday' to 'White Rose of Athens', while paying homage to the Greek music she passionately sang, such as Enas Mythos and Millise Mou. Embark on an enchanting musical journey as we pay tribute to the extraordinary talent of our beloved star, Nana Mouskouri. Immerse yourself in the melodies and lyrics that have captivated audiences from all over the world. 'The Girl from Greece: A Tribute to Nana Mouskouri' was proudly developed with the support of QPAC. For the Love of Tony & Friends
For the Love of Tony & Friends will take the audience on a musical journey celebrating the songs and life of iconic American artist Tony Bennett, along with memorable songs from the greatest crooners of all time. Throughout a remarkable career spanning seven decades, no artist in popular music has recorded for as long and at such a high level of excellence as Tony Bennett. Acclaimed Australian vocalist Chris Lloyds will be accompanied by the Jamie Rigg Band will showcase a repertoire of timeless standards, treating the audience to classic melodies and heartfelt stories. HAITCH unleashes a musical journey in Brisbane with his one-man show! Brisbane’s own multi-talented artist, HAITCH, is set to take the stage with his captivating one-man show. This unique musical experience promises to be an unforgettable event, showcasing HAITCH’s remarkable skills on a diverse array of instruments. His performance will feature an incredible line-up of instruments, including the iconic Australian Didgeridoo, Asian and Native American style wooden flutes, European brass horns, whistles and his unmistakeable vocals. Each note he plays brings to life the rich traditions and stories behind these instruments, inviting the audience to embark on a magical journey through sound. BrisSizzle and Sounds
Enjoy a free family day out at BrisSizzle and Sounds on Saturday 10 May from 10am - 2pm, at the Celebration Precinct, Roma Street Parkland. This year’s event features an exciting line-up of local artists, delicious food trucks, fun activities for kids, and live, interactive sessions with everyone’s favourite blue heeler sisters—Bluey and Bingo!

Refracted (Voxalis Opera & Southern Cross Soloists)
Explore the chromaticism of humankind in this one-night-only performance featuring Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, reimagined for string quartet and voice, alongside Arvo Pärt’s unique chamber and vocal works, including Fratres, Spiegel im Spiegel, and My Heart’s in the Highlands. Featuring the “stars of Australian chamber music”, Queensland’s renowned lyric soprano Leanne Kenneally, and emerging mezzo-soprano Aylish Ryan, this concert celebrates artistic collaboration, showcasing both established talent and emerging brilliance. Mother's Day in the Park
Treat Mum to a relaxed, joy-filled day at Mother’s Day in the Park at Victoria Park. On Sunday 11 May from 8am-1pm, you can spoil her with a stress-free celebration and enjoy quality time together as a family. Start your day by strolling through the lush parklands and soaking up the sounds of live music that will set the perfect tone for a serene morning. Tempt your taste buds with a range of brunch-inspired delights from an array of food trucks, offering delicious bites all morning. Whether you’re craving something sweet, savoury, or a little of both, there’s something for every palate. For the little ones, there’s no shortage of fun with entertaining kids’ activities that will keep them busy and happy, allowing Mum to relax and enjoy her special day. To make the occasion even more memorable, free flowers for Mum will be handed out (while supplies last). Gather the family, bring along a picnic blanket and enjoy a heart-warming and feel-good morning in the park. Mother’s Day in the Park, brought to you by Brisbane City Council and produced by City Parklands, takes place at Spring Hill Common, Victoria Park, with entry via Gregory Terrace.

Bands in Parks: Mother's Day by the Bay
Bands in Parks performs at Little Bayside Park. Enjoy live music while you browse the market stalls. Performances by local school bands and community bands feature in the morning Mother’s Day markets. Furry friends are welcome so come down to the bayside and enjoy breakfast by the seashore. Don’t miss the Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band at 10am and Bayside Brass at 11:15am.

Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. Join TLF Creative’s LawchestraQ for an enchanting lunchtime concert featuring the majestic sounds of the symphony orchestra, from the light-hearted 'Liberty Bell March' to iconic pieces including Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Holst’s 'Jupiter' and George Bizet’s 'Carmel Suite'. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy an afternoon on the bandstand lawn as you take in the beautiful setting of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens in the foothills of Mt Coot-tha.

Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall. The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra (BRYO) is a youth pops orchestra which performs a wide variety of genres from light classics to movie themes and everything in between! Spoil your mum this Mother's Day and enjoy a high tea and glorious symphonic music at City Hall. There will be afternoon tea and scones available for purchase as well as wine and cheese packs. Make it an afternoon out – invite family and friends for an afternoon at City Hall.

2025 Paniyiri Greek Festival
The largest cultural festival in Queensland, and the longest running Greek festival in the country, the Paniyiri Greek Festival, returns to Musgrave Park in South Brisbane on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18, 2025 with tickets now on sale. The Paniyiri Greek Festival is a two-day multi-sensory experience where people of all ages and abilities and background are encouraged to dance the Zorba, learn mediterranean cooking, taste Greek wines, cheer on the plate smashers, shop the market stalls, enjoy a non-stop lineup of entertainment while dining on the huge variety of authentic savoury or sweet dishes from multiple food stalls representing 11 different Greek regions. The year’s festival will return with everyone’s favourites, along with some exciting new additions including the opportunity to pre-book a “Paniyiri Greek Mezze Box”. Experience all the colours and flavours of Greece with this grazing box, a new convenient festival offering showcasing an authentic home-made mezze mix, including keftethes, spanakopita, taramasalata, tzatziki, kalamata olives with Yiayia’s secret marinate, locally produced feta and, of course, pita bread. Purchases of Greek Mezze Box includes exclusive access to the exclusive seating area on Saturday between 12pm – 4pm. The seating area has priority viewing of the Main Stage, premium furniture, limited bar facilities and shade. Seating is limited and subject to availability until capacity is reached. There is also the option of a special “add on” festival picnic rug! The Greek Mezze box and picnic rug must ordered online before 12 May when purchasing your ticket. No other event gives our city a jolt of pure joy than this festival of Greek fun that opens a window on one of the world's most interesting and ancient cultures.
