Ashnikko - Smoochies Tour
Ashnikko is coming to Australian shores in September 2026.The cross-genre hyper-pop bubble-gum artist who opened for Billie Eilish on her Hit Me Hard and Soft 12-date arena tour of Australia to tens of thousands of fans, will kick the Smoochies Tour off in Australia in 2026.Ashnikko has achieved some huge milestones for an artist just one album into their career, surpassing 3.9 Billion global streams and 700 million video views to date, with hit songs 'Slumber party (Opens in new tab)' and 'Daisy (Opens in new tab)'. Following the release of her debut album, Weedkiller, in 2023 Ashnikko has spent the past 18 months touring across the globe including a headline show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, a headline tour across Latin America and festival sets at Reading & Leeds, Madcool, Bonnaroo, NOS Alive and more. Earlier this year, Ashnikko took to the road across Australia opening for Billie Eilish on her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, performing at arenas across the country to tens of thousands of fans.

A celebration of music that moves the body and soul.From folk steps to final farewells, this concert is built around the joy of dance. At its heart is Rachmaninov's final major work Symphonic Dances. Written in exile, it is filled with sweeping emotion, nostalgia, and the echoes of a life in motion. Led by Chief Conductor Umberto Clerici, it's a powerful blend of elegance and vitality complete with an unforgettable saxophone solo.The evening begins with Dvořák's Slavonic Dances, bursting with Bohemian spirit and irresistible folk rhythms. Then comes soloist James Crabb for the Queensland premiere of Holly Harrison's Concerto for Classical Accordion and Orchestra, a bold, high-voltage work that dances to its own beat.Queensland Symphony Orchestra is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

From sweeping movie themes to Broadway showstoppers, this program features music that will entertain, inspire, and delight audiences of all ages. A celebration of imagination, drama, and musical storytelling - this is an evening not to be missed!The café and bar will be trading, so enjoy the concert with a meal and a glass of wine. Please note that there are no BYO food or drinks, just bring your own picnic blankets and enjoy music under the stars.

Bands in Parks: Twilight Jazz by the River
Bands in Parks performs at Queensland Maritime Museum Park.Kick back and watch the sunset over the Brisbane River from this beautiful vantage point near the Goodwill Bridge. Before the city warms up to Friday evening, take some time to enjoy big jazz after work at the Maritime Museum with music by Swingalicious Big Band.Please note: entry is alongside the Maritime Museum Ferry terminal, via Dock Street. The main Museum entry is closed on Friday Nights. There is no BYO food or drinks at this venue. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Music on Sundays 5: Old Worlds, New Sounds
A high-voltage program led by Chief Conductor Umberto Clerici.The concert opens with an overture by First Nations composer Christopher Sainsbury before Violinist Catherina Lee takes the spotlight in Bruch's soaring Violin Concerto.Then Dvořák's Slavonic Dances bursts with folk rhythm and fire. Before Bizet's Carmen Suite brings drama and irresistible melody, from the sultry Habanera to the swagger of Les Toréadors.Australian composer Holly Harrison also adds a jolt of the unexpected with Hi Vis, a groovy piece with plenty of bite.Rich, cinematic, and full of flair, that is music that grabs you from the first note.Queensland Symphony Orchestra is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

Bands in Parks performs at New Farm Park.Jacarandas are blooming and the jazz is hot.Delicious food from local food trucks will be available so join us for an afternoon of jazz and swing in New Farm Park under the blossoms of the jacarandas with the fabulous Peter Vance and Rachel Pearse and the Brass Roots Live band and musicians from the Jazz Music Institute.
