Jan Power Manly Markets
The Jan Powers Farmers Markets deliver the perfect package: premium quality products, friendly and knowledgeable stallholders and one of the most picturesque locations in Brisbane. The waterfront markets are held on the first and third Saturday of each month within the lush greenery of Little Bayside Park and against the beautiful backdrop of Manly Harbour. The Manly Creative Markets operates Every Sunday (except when Christmas Day is on a Sunday!) from 8am until 2pm, as an alternative retail outlet for local and regional creative talent, and is definitely not a flea market. You will find artisan wares, arts & crafts, plants, great coffee, entertainment, massage, fashion, pet items and so much more at the Manly Creative Markets in Little Bayside Park every Sunday. Free parking in the surrounding streets.

Bands in Parks - Community Train Day
The Musical Chairs Band will entertain the crowds at the monthly Community Train Day at McPherson Park, Bracken Ridge. Enjoy the market stalls, grab a bite to eat from the sausage sizzle and treat the kids kids to a ride on a real steam train organised by the Bracken Ridge Central Lions Club, all while enjoying the unique sounds from the Musical Chairs Band.

Junior Explorers: Nature journaling
Children will enjoy a fun and fascinating workshop learning the basics of nature journaling. Nature journaling is the creative practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. This fun, easy, relaxing practice encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of curiosity and wonder! Please bring your own basic sketch/art book. Other materials provided. After the workshop, visit the environment centre or remain in the reserve to continue nature journaling. Requirements: Please bring your own sketch/art book or pad. Arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. All children must be accompanied throughout by a supervising adult booked into the event. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed shoes, and bring insect repellent. Please bring an outdoor chair if you would like to use one. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain and can be delivered indoors if required. Urban Utilities - Water Stories Art Experience
Come and join us for a unique event for children aged 8 years and over! Have a yarn and learn traditional First Nations customs and painting techniques with Our Yarn (Ngalin Ayeye) at Urban Utilities Visual Art Water Stories Experience. This is an interactive and engaging painting workshop for children, led by Our Yarn, that raises awareness about the urban water cycle and its deep connection to First Nations culture, histories and stories. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-smart clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity can be delivered indoors if required. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Bands in Parks performs at Lanham Park. Join the Mango Jam Big Band for an afternoon concert on the green.
