Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - The Beatlegs
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents the Beatlegs. THIS CONCERT WILL BE AUSLAN INTERPRETED. Taking you on a journey during the fame of the most iconic rock and roll band, The Beatles, Queensland’s very own Beatles tribute show, The Beatlegs, will take you back in time to relive the years of one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time. The Beatlegs is the ultimate Beatles tribute show, and you won’t believe your eyes and ears, with their costume changes including the grey A Hard Day’s Night era suit and infamous Sgt. Pepper outfits, with their brilliant harmonies. This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Evolution Productions.

Narrated by Ewan McGregor. The exploration of space is the greatest endeavour that humankind has ever undertaken. What does it take to be part of this incredible journey? What does it take to become an astronaut? Experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut. Explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, from floating around the International Space Station to manoeuvring through microscopic regions of the human body. Discover the perils that lurk in space as we subject ‘Chad’, our animated test astronaut, to everything that space has to throw at him. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.

Brisbane Mahjong
We are a growing community of Mahjong enthusiasts who meet every Tuesday at 6pm till late at Garden City Library. We welcome players from all backgrounds and experiences who would love to come socialise and have fun with different people every week. We provide tutorials for new players as well. Micro Museum
What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

Cabbage Tree Treadly
Meeting at the Beckett Road Park Playground, we follow the Cabbage Tree Creek Bikeway north-east. Pass through Carseldine and Fitzgibbon en route to Bracken Ridge. A 21km round trip with plenty to see. Presented as part of Council's Cycling Brisbane program.

Educational and interactive puppet shows for toddlers and preschooler kids
Little Bunnies Puppetry was born from a passion for storytelling and a love for children’s entertainment. We understand that the early years are crucial for development, which is why we’ve crafted our puppet shows to be both entertaining and educational. At Little Bunnies, we present weekly sessions where mums can connect with other mums while their little ones enjoy the show, dress-up time and play at our special puppet theatre and sets. New show every Wednesday. The interactive nature of the shows encourages participation, helping children develop confidence and social skills. We offer special rates for families with multiple children.

Understory by Rachel Apelt
Be drawn into a dialogue with nature through Rachel Apelt’s Understory. Visual artist Rachel Apelt, who lives in the upper catchment of Kedron Brook and Cabbage Tree Creek, shares her deep connection to nature with this exhibition. A ‘walking artist,’ her work presents details and impressions from her daily walks along creek lines and forest reserves. The work celebrates the special role of Macaranga trees in creek line regeneration, highlighting their beauty and ecological importance as well as the sense of community that can flourish in their shade. Understory is open now until 22 June 2025 at the Boondall Wetland Environment Centre. Open hours: Tuesday - Friday 9am - 4pm Saturday - Sunday 9am - 12pm

135th Members Annual Art Exhibition
This June, the 135th RQAS Brisbane Branch Members Annual exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery! For this exhibition, members were invited to submit works in their own unique style and media across seven different sections. This year the exhibition will be split into two exhibitions that will run for three weeks each. From Thursday, 5th of June until Sunday, 22nd of June, section 1 (Oil and Acrylic paintings) and section 4 (sculpture) will be on display at Petrie Terrace Gallery. Then, from Thursday, 26th of June until Sunday, 13th of July, all other sections (2: Watercolour, 3: Photography/Digital art, 5: Drawing, 6: 2D Artworks, and 7: Pastels) will be exhibited. We will also be hosting two awards night: - Paintings and Sculpture - Awards Night: Thursday, 5th of June at 7pm - A Mix of Media - Awards Night: Friday, 27th of June at 7pm We look forward to seeing you in the gallery! The Royal Queensland Art Society is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

Bush Kindy: Library stories and rhymes
Come along for a special Bush Kindy and make memories with your little ones as they take part in story-time and rhymes in the natural environment. Bush Kindy sessions can go for up to 45 minutes and themes vary each week. Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. This session is presented in partnership with Brisbane City Council Libraries and First 5 Forever. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, co-ordinated by the State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in at the environment centre. All children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. Suitable old play clothes recommended as sessions may include messy play.Note: Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Gathering - Rowie
Gathering presents Rowie. Roeith Geraghty, better known by his artist name Rowie moved to Brisbane in 2021 to pursue his passion for the creative arts after releasing his debut single in 2019. His journey in music began at a young age, drawn to the piano as his primary instrument and later exploring the limitless possibilities of music production. Old Lore presents Ancient Echoes: Old Lore & Young Bloods emerging artist Rowie, performing live from 12 noon - 1pm at the Queen Street Mall main stage. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
