Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre.Walk duration: Walks last about one hour and are taken at a gentle pace.Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Botanic By Night: NightGlow makes its Brisbane debut at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha from 25 September to 10 October, transforming the Gardens into a magical after-dark outdoor art experience. Visitors will journey along an enchanting 800-metre route featuring 11 larger-than-life illuminated animal sculptures inspired by Queensland's native wildlife.Designed by Ample Projects in collaboration with First Nations artists Casey Coolwell-Fisher and Nathan Peckham, Botanic By Night: NightGlow combines art, storytelling and sound to celebrate the animals, habitats and stories that shape Queensland's natural environment.From kangaroos and koalas to platypus, dingoes and green tree frogs, each artwork offers a unique encounter, inviting visitors to wander, explore and connect with nature in a whole new way.Perfect for families, friends and date nights, Botanic By Night: NightGlow also features a dedicated food truck precinct.
