Join us for a guided Forest Therapy session and experience the benefits of slowing down in nature.This small-group program offers a peaceful, accessible way to connect with Brisbane's natural areas. Led by a qualified Forest Therapy guide, the session includes a series of simple sensory and mindfulness-based activities during a gentle walk through bushland trails. Throughout the experience, participants will be invited to engage with the natural environment through observation, personal reflection, and sensory awareness.Forest Therapy has been shown to support wellbeing, reduce stress, and strengthen our connection to nature and community.The session finishes with a shared tea ceremony, offering time for conversation and connection.Requirements on the day:Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centreWear a hat and sun protection, fully enclosed walking shoes, an extra warm layer of clothing, a raincoat / umbrella if the weather is inclement and bring insect repellentNo food outlets onsite so bring a snack if requiredBring a water bottle and something to sit on (lightweight chair / towel / small mat) if required.Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain. Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Genre Artworks are those that depict ordinary people in everyday situations, both in the exterior and the interior. Rather than heroic or mythological subjects, these works celebrate the familiar: everyday people participating in domestic routines, work, leisure, social gatherings, and quiet moments of daily life.The Royal Queensland Art Society is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

Bright, colourful and welcoming for all visitors, the artwork is both joyful and thought-provoking.Responding directly to the architecture of the Museum, City Hall and the Brisbane cityscape, Kire's design reveals unexpected connections between the built environment and abstract form.
