Seido Karate Classes for Children
Our children's program has classes at 5.30pm, three times per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday).The majority of students in our children's program are 6-12 years old, but we have some children start as young as 4 or 5 and some parents who join in the class with their child(ren).Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our advanced yellow, green, and brown belt students.Children learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and learning to socialise and work with other children of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Seido Karate Classes for Adults & Teens
Our adult program offers classes at 6.30pm, three times a week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday).Our adult program includes students as young as 10 through to students as mature as 80+! The adult syllabus starts from 15 years old, with students learning the junior (children's) syllabus up until this age.Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our green, brown and black belt students. Black belt classes are also run at 7.30pm on Monday and Thursday.Adults and teenagers learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and having the opportunity to socialise, meet and work out with like-minded individuals of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Botanic By Night: NightGlow
Botanic By Night: NightGlow makes its Brisbane debut at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha from 25 September to 10 October, transforming the Gardens into a magical after-dark outdoor art experience. Visitors will journey along an enchanting 800-metre route featuring 11 larger-than-life illuminated animal sculptures inspired by Queensland's native wildlife.Designed by Ample Projects in collaboration with First Nations artists Casey Coolwell-Fisher and Nathan Peckham, Botanic By Night: NightGlow combines art, storytelling and sound to celebrate the animals, habitats and stories that shape Queensland's natural environment.From kangaroos and koalas to platypus, dingoes and green tree frogs, each artwork offers a unique encounter, inviting visitors to wander, explore and connect with nature in a whole new way.Perfect for families, friends and date nights, Botanic By Night: NightGlow also features a dedicated food truck precinct.
Clairvaux MacKillop College's 2026 Battle of the ROCK Bands
Clairvaux MacKillop College's Battle of the ROCK Bands Festival is Queensland's premier school-aged music festival, showcasing talented young musicians from competing schools across the state.Across three exciting nights, 30 school rock bands take to the stage, with 10 different bands performing each evening. 2026 Recovered Futures ArT Exhibition
The Recovered Futures Art Exhibition has been a mainstay on the Brisbane art calendar for 35 years. Hosted in a grand marquee during Queensland Mental Health Week, the exhibition will return to King George Square from 9-14 October 2026.This professionally curated exhibition showcases more than 250 artworks by artists with lived experience of mental health challenges, sharing powerful stories of recovery, resilience, and hope.Every exhibiting artist in the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition has a lived experience of mental ill-health, either personally or through their roles as a carer or family member. Their artworks reflect powerful stories of resilience, recovery, and hope.Artists receive 85 per cent of sale proceeds from each sale, ensuring they are directly supported through their creative work.While Recovered Futures provides an important platform for artists to sell their work and gain recognition, its impact reaches far beyond the gallery walls. For many participants, the act of creating and exhibiting art is a vital part of their healing journey, offering empowerment, connection, and a voice through which to share their experiences of recovery.The exhibition also plays a significant role in sparking meaningful conversations and challenging the stigma that too often surrounds mental health.We hope to see you there!
