Guided ride - Cabbage Tree Treadly
Explore sections of the fantastic Bulimba Creek Bikeway as it hugs the creek and meanders through Murarrie, Cannon Hill, Carina and Carindale. Mostly flat 20 km ride on bike paths. Ride through the Minnippi Parklands and see what wildlife you might spot. A really interesting and enjoyable ride with lots of highlights. Presented as part of Council's Cycling Brisbane program.
Community Immunisation Clinic - Brisbane City
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at Immunisation Schedule Queensland for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver Brisbane Vision 2031.

Children’s storytime in the park - Wynnum Wading Pool Park, Wynnum
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Location: This session is held in Whale Park, near the Wynnum Jetty (around 137 Wynnum Esplanade). On-street and park parking is available nearby.

Bush Kindy: Wild Play
Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence and respect for the environment through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go for roughly 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes and activities vary each week. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, send an email. Booking requirements: Maximum 5 tickets as places are limited. A ratio of 1 adult per 4 children is required. All adults and children (including infants) must have a ticket. Please cancel via Eventbrite if you cannot attend. As this event is popular and places limited, late arrival tickets will be forfeited to make way for available attendees. Requirements: Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site. Note: All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
Gumtreekids Messy Play - Ocean mermaids and pirates theme
Our Messy Play sessions are all about hands-on fun and sensory exploration using taste-safe, food-based materials. We create a welcoming space for all ages, with a dedicated baby zone for 6–18 months, a toddler zone for busy little movers, and during school holidays we also welcome over 5s to join in the fun. These sessions encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play — all in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. Sibling rates and under 20 months are discounted. Play passes are available - 10 play sessions for purchase at a low rate.

Artist in Residence: Renee Kire
Step inside an exciting new residency project that invites you to experience art in unexpected ways. Artist in Residence Renee Kire takes over Museum of Brisbane’s entryway, transforming these spaces with a vibrant and dynamic mix of striking vinyl graphics and sculptural timber elements. These features create an immersive pathway that stretches across walls and ceilings, guiding you into the heart of the Museum. Drawing inspiration from Minimalism while reinterpreting the movement through a contemporary feminist lens, Kire brings fresh attention to the often-overlooked contributions of women in the field. Bright, colourful and welcoming for all visitors, the artwork is both joyful and thought-provoking. Responding directly to the architecture of the Museum, City Hall and the Brisbane cityscape, Kire’s design reveals unexpected connections between the built environment and abstract form. Warrajamba
Follow the mermaid in the bay. Dive into story, culture and hands-on creativity with our latest Artist in Residence, Quandamooka artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. Journey alongside Delvene to the shores of Minjerribah and discover the ancestral story of Warrajamba, the mermaid, a living cultural legacy that Delvene continues to explore as she searches for its lost ending. Get hands-on and create your own mermaid or dugong using artist-designed stamps, connecting with the stories of Warrajamba and Yungong, the dugong. Discover Delvene’s powerful sculptural work made from materials gathered from Country - yungair/yungaire (freshwater reed), talwalpin (beach hibiscus cotton tree), and quampie shell. Come and be immersed in a space that celebrates care for land, sea and story. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Artist in Residence: Martin Edge
Queensland artist Martin Edge brings his playful, joy‑filled world to the Fairfax Gallery for his Artist in Residence project. Known for his vibrant scenes inspired by everyday life, from seaside moments and city adventures to his much‑loved CityCat journeys, Edge blends memory and imagination into colourful, whimsical compositions. Across three weeks, Edge will create a large‑scale mural directly onto the gallery walls, offering visitors a rare opportunity to watch his process in action and chat with him as the work evolves. Featuring bright colours, bold geometric forms and iconic Brisbane landmarks, the finished artwork will present two lively scenes of Brisbane City in Edge’s distinctive style. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Martin Edge’s Residency is supported by The Culture Crusader. Polish your peepers! You never know what you might spot. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. Gathering: Blak : Story : Song
Gathering presents Blak : Story : Song. Blak : Story : Song is a concert series that promotes and engages intergenerational First Nations singer songwriters and our international indigenous allies. Co-curated by Deline Briscoe (Yalanji), a collective of artists present their songs in a stripped back, intimate setting that allows space for truth telling, deeper audience connection and inspired musical collaborations. Take a 1 hour journey with these songwriters, while they share their songwriting talent in all its raw honesty. Catch their set from 12noon to 1pm at the Queen Street Mall main stage.
