Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Children’s storytime in the park - 7th Brigade Park, Chermside
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Lectures from the Shadows presents: Amber st Clare
The first in a series of quarterly events from different lecturers. About our speaker: Amber St Clare is an Esoteric Egyptologist with a life long passion and fascination with Ancient Egypt. She has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Ancient Egyptian Mysticism. Amber is one of the few Egyptologists in the world with a Masters Degree in Ancient Egyptian Mysticism and the only one to take tour groups. For a lifetime Amber has studied what the Ancient Egyptians thought, knew and believed about themselves, the Cosmos and their Gods. Amber is a well known speaker and author and gives workshops on Ancient Egyptian Mysticism. This lecture runs for two hours, from 7pm to 9pm, at the Hamilton Hall.
DragSpeare: Drag Kings Do Shakespeare
Five drag kings on their Queensland tour take on Shakespeare with stupidity, spoof, and sincerity, smashing iconic songs against the Bard in a bold new high-energy cabaret.
