Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.
Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.
Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre.

Volunteer Bushcare Working Bee - Perrin Creek & Seven Hills Bushland Rehabilitation Group
Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program. Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you! Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projects.The Perrin Creek & Seven Hills Bushland Rehabilitation Group meet every Tuesday and every Friday, and the second Saturday of the month 7.30-10am. Location: Seven Hills Bushland Reserve, 508 Darcy Road, Seven Hills.
Junior run squad
Come and try running with fully accredited coaches. Learn techniques that will help you run stronger and smarter. These sessions focus on technique, speed, endurance and fun. All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 8-17 years.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Forest Lake
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.
