Pull up a chair and enjoy a chat with others in your community, whether you're dropping in for a quick hello or staying a while.Location: Brisbane City Hall (basement level). Enter via the corner of Adelaide and Albert Streets-look for the pink signs and take the stairs down.Hosted by a friendly volunteer, the Chatty Table creates a space where conversation flows easily and everyone is welcome.

Join us for a free PlatypusWatch Walk and Talk as part of PlatyMonth this August.PlatypusWatch Project Officer Dr Tamielle Brunt will talk about this amazing animal as well as the research happening in Brisbane. As you walk through known platypus habitat, Tamielle will talk about what keeps them happy in the waterways, local conservation efforts and how you can get involved in platypus spotting and contribute to local Platy-Project monitoring programs.Arrive ten minutes early to check in and confirm your attendance.Requirements: Wear secure, fully enclosed walking shoes, and light-weight long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Bring, insect repellent, drinking water, snack, and a raincoat if required. Do not leave early unless it is an emergency.Note:There is no guarantee that platypuses will be present during the guided walk.Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
