Billy's Buddies ball sports
Bookings essential. This program is designed for kids aged 2-7 and serves as the home of Non-Contact Rugby League for children. At Billy's Buddies, they celebrate all sports not just Rugby League! Their programs focus on fun, helping kids build social skills while learning the fundamentals of Rugby League and ball sports in general.

You will share a special time with other parents, while helping your little ones learn and grow through musical play and movement. Free guided tour - City Botanic Gardens
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Vietnam Veterans’ Remembrance Day Memorial Service
Join us to commemorate. A Vietnam Veterans' Day Remembrance Service will be held at ANZAC Square, Brisbane on Monday 18 August 2025, commencing at 11am. Guests to be seated by 10.40am in ANZAC Square where the Service will be held. The Remembrance Service is to honour those who fell during the Vietnam War and those who served. Also, this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the last Australian troop withdrawal from Vietnam, the Embassy Guard. This event is organised by the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia (QLD Branch) Inc. The Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia was formed to assist Vietnam Veterans and their families after their return from the Vietnam War. The Association has progressed, and now looks after all Veterans regardless of conflict, or Service, and all members who have served in the Armed Services.

Booking essential. A supportive class designed to promote active, healthy aging while calming the mind and body. Enjoy a mix of stretching, breathing, strength, and balance exercises, incorporating both standing poses and mat work. This gentle session is tailored to meet participants needs, with no prior experience required. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.

Aqua aerobics
Experience an excellent, low-impact cross-training workout in the water. Feel the benefits of exercise without the pain. Using minimum-impact movement, participants will develop strength, mobility and movement in a fun environment. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.

Aqua yoga
*** This event has been cancelled. *** This is a low impact form of exercise that supports the body while still providing function and movement. Many yoga poses that you do in a class can be adapted for the pool, sometimes using the pool walls as if it were the studio floor.

Taiso
Taiso is a Japanese word for exercise or calisthenics. Improve your balance and movement at this fun class that is suitable for all levels of fitness. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.

Community Immunisation Clinic - New Farm
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.
