Blushing
Zen Zen Zo's Blushing is a bold new physical theatre work investigating touch in all its shapes and forms. Enter the microscopic world of the Cells writhing beneath your skin, dissecting the intricacies of physical intimacy across our lives. At a time when distance is the norm, and touch a radical act in a post-pandemic world, Blushing examines our internal dance between shame and curiosity. From a cast of 8 incredible Brisbane performers, witness your bodies’ evolving relationship to touch as we grow and navigate the complexities of physical contact. Blushing runs from the 19 - 29 June ay the Holy Trinity Church, Fortitude Valley.
DragSpeare: Drag Kings Do Shakespeare
Five drag kings on their Queensland tour take on Shakespeare with stupidity, spoof, and sincerity, smashing iconic songs against the Bard in a bold new high-energy cabaret. A camp, chaotic, and unexpectedly heartfelt ride, the Stallion Squad are ready to prove they’re more than just eye candy. Metro Arts is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.
Manly Creative Markets
The Manly Creative Markets operates Every Sunday (except when Christmas Day is on a Sunday!) from 8am until 2pm, as an alternative retail outlet for local and regional creative talent, and is definitely not a flea market. You will find artisan wares, arts & crafts, plants, great coffee, entertainment, massage, fashion, pet items and so much more at the Manly Creative Markets in Little Bayside Park every Sunday. Free parking in the surrounding streets.
Understory by Rachel Apelt
Be drawn into a dialogue with nature through Rachel Apelt’s Understory. Visual artist Rachel Apelt, who lives in the upper catchment of Kedron Brook and Cabbage Tree Creek, shares her deep connection to nature with this exhibition. A ‘walking artist,’ her work presents details and impressions from her daily walks along creek lines and forest reserves. The work celebrates the special role of Macaranga trees in creek line regeneration, highlighting their beauty and ecological importance as well as the sense of community that can flourish in their shade. Understory is open now until 22 June 2025 at the Boondall Wetland Environment Centre. Open hours: Tuesday - Friday 9am - 4pm Saturday - Sunday 9am - 12pm
Bands in Parks - Community Train Day
The Musical Chairs Band will entertain the crowds at the monthly Community Train Day at McPherson Park, Bracken Ridge. Enjoy the market stalls, grab a bite to eat from the sausage sizzle and treat the kids kids to a ride on a real steam train organised by the Bracken Ridge Central Lions Club, all while enjoying the unique sounds from the Musical Chairs Band.
Bands in Parks - Having a Whale of a Time
The South of the River Community Band will be performing a fun and eclectic mix of fan favourites at the Wynnum Whale Park. Featuring tunes from the Barbie movie and some Taylor Swift hits, mixed with classic rock anthems by INXS and Queen. You'll also enjoy nostalgic melodies from Astro Boy and Sesame Street plus rousing marches and Broadway favourites. Come and enjoy the music - it's a concert for everyone!

The South East Queensland Big Band are on a missing to entertain! Presenting some of the most exciting contemporary pieces, funky riffs, hip beats, and spicy Latin classics, this is certainly a concert not to be missed - and don't forget to bring your dancing shoes. Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - Swingin' Into The Sixties
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Swinging into the Sixties. Swing along and enjoy this trip down memory lane as Robyn Brown and her incredible band bring their popular show to City Hall for the very first time. Reinterpreted with a jazz, funk and soulful twist, you’ll be toe-tapping and chair-dancing to songs like Sunshine Superman, The Beat Goes On and Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, along with favourite tunes performed with sophisticated musicality and a great sense of fun! Among the band members are musicians who have performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, toured internationally, and have appeared many times on national TV including Spicks and Specks and Hey, Hey, It’s Saturday. This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Anje West.

Gathering - KAP Peacock
Gathering presents KAP Peacock. KAP is a dynamic singer-songwriter and advanced guitarist whose music seamlessly blends pop/rock melodies with modern influences from artists like The Kid Laroi and Ed Sheeran to the timeless brilliance of Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Renowned for his incredible guitar ability, KAP infuses every melody with crisp, clean technique and electrifying solos that burst out of songs like a phoenix taking flight. Old Lore presents Ancient Echoes: Old Lore & Young Bloods emerging artist KAP Peacock, catch his performance from 12 noon - 1pm at the Queen Street Mall main stage. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.

Blushing Movement & Devising Workshop
Immerse yourself in the creative world of Blushing with this dynamic workshop, offering an exclusive opportunity to explore movement and devising techniques drawn directly from the production while engaging with Zen Zen Zo’s renowned training methodologies. Held at the Blushing Performance Venue at the Holy Trinity Church and hosted by Director and Zen Zen Zo Artistic Director, Indiah Morris. Participants will: Step into Character: Create your own Blushing character, exploring themes of intimacy, connection, and physical storytelling. Move in Costume: Experience performing in the real costumes from the show, unlocking the unique physical language they inspire. Recreate Scenes: Learn and embody key moments from Blushing, gaining first hand insight into the creative process behind this bold, high-energy production. Train with Zen Zen Zo Techniques: Engage with the company’s core methodologies.Designed for performers, movers, and creators of all experience levels, this workshop invites you to engage with Blushing’s themes of touch and human connection while discovering the innovative training methods that define Zen Zen Zo’s approach.
