What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

RQAS Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things
Royal Queensland Art Society Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things For this exhibition, artists were invited to consider our relationships with animals. Artworks can depict imagined, observed or experienced perceptions of the natural world, explore environmental and scientific themes, or investigate animals in folklore, symbology or the domestic realm. The exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Thursday, 17th April to Sunday, 11th May 2025. *Please note* gallery closed for the Easter long weekend (Apr 18-20th) and ANZAC Day (Apr 25th). Awards Night On Wednesday, 23rd of April at 7pm, join us at Petrie Terrace Gallery for the exhibition Awards Night! At this event we will announce the winning artworks. Nibbles will be provided and drinks available for purchase. Ticket prices: RQAS Brisbane Branch Members tickets: $5 Non-Members tickets: $15 Make sure to secure your ticket soon via the RQAS website! Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs - 200% Wolf
Enjoy the magic of the movies with 200% Wolf at your local park. The film will start shortly after sundown, so get in early to secure your spot. Take along chairs or a blanket, snacks or purchase from our vendors. Food trucks on site before the movie screening at 6pm. This movie screening will have subtitles. This event is pet friendly. Please keep your furry friends on a leash if you decide to bring them along.

Manly Creative Markets
The Manly Creative Markets operates Every Sunday (except when Christmas Day is on a Sunday!) from 8am until 2pm, as an alternative retail outlet for local and regional creative talent, and is definitely not a flea market. You will find artisan wares, arts & crafts, plants, great coffee, entertainment, massage, fashion, pet items and so much more at the Manly Creative Markets in Little Bayside Park every Sunday. Free parking in the surrounding streets.

Bands in Parks: Mother's Day by the Bay
Bands in Parks performs at Little Bayside Park. Enjoy live music while you browse the market stalls. Performances by local school bands and community bands feature in the morning Mother’s Day markets. Furry friends are welcome so come down to the bayside and enjoy breakfast by the seashore. Don’t miss the Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band at 10am and Bayside Brass at 11:15am.

Bands in Parks: Classics in the Botanics
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. Join TLF Creative’s LawchestraQ for an enchanting lunchtime concert featuring the majestic sounds of the symphony orchestra, from the light-hearted 'Liberty Bell March' to iconic pieces including Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Holst’s 'Jupiter' and George Bizet’s 'Carmel Suite'. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy an afternoon on the bandstand lawn as you take in the beautiful setting of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens in the foothills of Mt Coot-tha.

Bands in Parks: Mother's Day High Tea and Symphony
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall. The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra (BRYO) is a youth pops orchestra which performs a wide variety of genres from light classics to movie themes and everything in between! Spoil your mum this Mother's Day and enjoy a high tea and glorious symphonic music at City Hall. There will be afternoon tea and scones available for purchase as well as wine and cheese packs. Make it an afternoon out – invite family and friends for an afternoon at City Hall.

Gathering - Ben Barker
Gathering presents Ben Barker. Ben Barker is a Biripi Dunghutti man combining the Didgeridoo and guitar simultaneously to create something truly unique. From melodical instrumentals and alternate rock riffs, Ben crosses the past and the present to make something for the future. Join us between 12 noon and 1pm at the main stage of Queen Street Mall, to witness the talent and brilliance of Ben Barker. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
