Little Artist’s Eye Spy
Polish your peepers! You never know what you might spot. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? This playful Museum experience will immerse you in all manners of local art, history and culture, encompassing five different exhibitions. Ask our friendly staff at MoB reception when you arrive. Micro Museum
What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own. RQAS Abstraction Exhibition
Back by popular demand is the RQAS Abstraction exhibition! For this exhibition artists were invited to submit artworks in their own media and style, showing us their interpretation of an Abstract or Abstracted Artwork. This includes art that has recognisable forms, as well as more expressive styles and pure abstraction, with inspiration from movements such as Fauvism, Dadaism or Cubism. Threads in common
This eclectic and exciting exhibition and gallery shop features the work of eight prominent Brisbane artists. They each work in their own distinctive style using a wide range of materials and techniques, yet together they present a vibrant and cohesive display of beautifully hand-crafted artworks including wearables, homewares, jewellery and gifts to admire and purchase. Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Gathering - Gling Hunt
Gathering presents Gling Hunt. Glen (Gling) Andrew Hunt has been performing since he was nine years old. Starting off on drums, he toured Australia with such acts as The Marvel Brothers and Buddy Williams. Becoming a frontman in his thirties, Glen is known for his beautiful vocals and ability to perform a wide array of genres. He went on to form a band with his children called The Huntsmen, developing a particularly special bond with his son over their deep love of music. Glen has been on the stage for many years now and still loves each time like it is his first. Join us between 12 noon and 1pm at the Queen Street Mall stage. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.

Dance Nation
Dance Nation by Clare Barron tells the story of a group of young dancers striving for success in a national competition, confronting themes of identity and ambition as the lines between friend and rival are blurred. Multi-award winning Queensland theatre company, THAT Production Company is set to bring Clare Barron’s acclaimed play Dance Nation to Metro Arts’ New Benner Theatre this August in its Queensland debut.
