What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

Guided walk of the Tulla-yugaipa Track (useful plants)
Join this informative guided walk around the gentle 100m Tulla-yugaipa dhagun Track. Meaning 'place of useful plants', this short track showcases plants used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and colonial peoples. A volunteer guide will lead you around the trail to identify some of the featured native plants and other wetlands resources and explain some traditional uses. After the walk, visitors can enjoy other nearby walking tracks, relax in the picnic area, and visit Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre. Requirements: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Please bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Walks are subject to weather and environmental conditions.

For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Park Pedal and Scoot
Come and join our community participation rides, as we welcome bike and scooter riders in the parklands of Brisbane. The BQ Park Pedal and Scoot rides are designed to encourage Queenslanders to get outdoors and get active, in a safe and supportive environment. The event involves engaging with the parklands while riders complete their supplied Adventure Passport, including some skills and safety awareness. As a free community event proudly supported by the Queensland Government, Bicycle Queensland hopes to see more people riding more often. So come and join the ride!

Bands in Parks: A Touch of Tango with Asian Spice
Bands in Parks performs at New Farm Park. Come on a musical journey with Bardon Strings, where strings come alive in a fusion of Latin flair and enchanting melodies. The ensemble will captivate your senses with the passionate rhythm of tangos, performing timeless pieces such as 'Over the Rainbow' and 'La Paloma', along with the haunting beauty of 'Gabriel's Oboe' from The Mission as well as some beautiful Asian-inspired music based on popular Taiwanese folk songs. Revel in a rich tapestry of sound and be swept away by the seductive beats of tango with Asian spice in the park.
Bands in Parks: A Galactic Celebration
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. Bush Kindy
Bush Kindy is for children aged 3 - 5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. On the day of the event Please arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Please wear a hat, fully enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Please bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. It is recommended to bring a spare change of clothes as sessions may include messy play.Note: This event can go for up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

We welcome players from all backgrounds and experiences who would love to come socialise and have fun with different people every week. We provide tutorials for new players as well. Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Quiet hours at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre are an opportunity to explore the Centre at your own pace. During quiet hours, we dim the lights, lower the sounds and pause some activities. This creates a soothing space for you to explore at your own pace. This designated time is intended for those who prefer or may benefit from a quieter and more relaxed surrounding. This may include those with autism, sensory sensitivities, disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses or anyone who prefers less sensory stimulation.
