What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own. This eclectic and exciting exhibition and gallery shop features the work of eight prominent Brisbane artists. They each work in their own distinctive style using a wide range of materials and techniques, yet together they present a vibrant and cohesive display of beautifully hand-crafted artworks including wearables, homewares, jewellery and gifts to admire and purchase. Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. See if you can catch a glimpse of the bells! Make a booking online today to secure your spot! Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. Bush Kindy

Bush Kindy

Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity please email us.  Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Earth Kids Homeschool Program - Wednesday mornings

Children aged 6 to 12 learn from nature, explore permaculture, ecoarts, and bushcraft, and develop social and emotional skills at our 6-session Earth Kids homeschool program, running during the Queensland school term. Earth Kids is about supporting children in learning from and with the natural world in a fun, interactive, and inclusive environment. Parents can choose to drop off their children or stay with the group. Activities The activities differ according to the season and may include: Gardening – planting, harvesting, composting, learning about bush tucker and seasonal changes; exploring what's flowering or fruiting at the farm (and tasting what is fruiting!) Earth connection – expanding the senses, wandering, nature journaling and doing other activities to support understanding of the web of life and the elements that all life is made of. Indigenous understanding – storytelling, and cultural sharing. Bushcraft - building shelters, making string, making campfires. Ecoarts – creativity using natural materials.And more - including cooking from food harvested from the farm, games, and unstructured play. Term 3, 2025 - Dates and times: Wednesday mornings, from 23 July to 3 September 2025 (EKKA break 13 August) From 9.30am to 12.30pm each day (drop off/arrival from 9.15 am and pick up until 12.45 pm).Pricing (GST incl): Early bird fees (until June 30th): $250 (general) | $190 (low-income). Full fees (until July 20th): $300 (general) | $240 (low-income). For every additional child, there is a $30 discount. One-day tickets (available for most sessions): $50 (general) | $45 (part-scholarship price) A limited number of Part-scholarship places at $160 (full-term) and $45 (day tickets) are available for First Nations people, Health Care Card holders, and Parents volunteering during the program.
