Join us for a craft-focused morning in the natural surroundings of the reserve. Be prepared to get a little messy! Bush Kindy is for children aged 3 - 5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Bush Kindy sessions can go for roughly 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes and activities vary each week.
This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity please email us at DCBC@brisbane.qld.gov.auRequirements: Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - 守破離 – Shu Ha Ri
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents 守破離 – Shu Ha Ri. Performed by Gen絃 as part of BrisAsia Festival 2026. 守破離 守破離 – Shu Ha Ri means to bridge between tradition and innovation. Brisbane-based koto master Takako Haggarty joins forces with award-winning guitarist and composer Phill Wilson to explore the evolving boundary between classical Japanese music and contemporary interpretation, rooted in decades of disciplined training in their respective traditions. This one-day special concert features guest artists Carl Rathus on the meditative shakuhachi (Bamboo flute) and the graceful Japanese dance by Junko Thompson. This unique performance invites audiences into a world of refined sound, elegant movement and a finely balanced harmony between past and present. This Lord Mayor’s City Hall Concert is produced by Salubrious Productions.
