Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? This playful Museum experience will immerse you in all manners of local art, history and culture, encompassing five different exhibitions. Ask our friendly staff at MoB reception when you arrive. What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own. RQAS Abstraction Exhibition

Back by popular demand is the RQAS Abstraction exhibition! For this exhibition artists were invited to submit artworks in their own media and style, showing us their interpretation of an Abstract or Abstracted Artwork. This includes art that has recognisable forms, as well as more expressive styles and pure abstraction, with inspiration from movements such as Fauvism, Dadaism or Cubism. Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
