Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. NAIDOC Week - Aboriginal art and cultural workshop
Join this fun and informative art and cultural workshop with presenter Rick Roser. This highly engaging and insightful experience builds awareness of Aboriginal cultures and shares knowledge through stories, art, music, and practical hands-on activities. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the environment centre. All children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Bands in Parks - From Broadway to Box Office
Sunnybank Brass teams up with sensational vocalist Izzy Cehajic to bring their unique sounds to the Bands in Parks program with their Broadway to Box Office performance. We are a growing community of Mahjong enthusiasts who meet every Tuesday at 6pm till late at Garden City Library. We welcome players from all backgrounds and experiences who would love to come socialise and have fun with different people every week. We provide tutorials for new players as well. Gathering - Sue Ray
Gathering presents Sue Ray. Sue Ray, winner of the 2022 Blue 'n' Roots QMusic award, is a First Nations artist who captivates audiences with her original brand of country/blues and roots music, smoky rich voice, and high energy performances. Often compared to artists like Bonnie Raitt, Chris Stapleton and Lucinda Williams, Sue's sound crosses genres allowing her appeal to a wide audience. Catch Sue Ray's live performance from 12 noon to 1pm at the main stage of Queen Street Mall. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
2025 Brisbane Anywhere Festival
A festival of performances where Brisbane's undiscovered backyards, businesses, bus stops and warehouses become the stage, anywhere but where you'd expect it. From theatre on rooftops, warehouses and beaches, music in planetariums and backyards, comedy, immersive shows and performances popping up in bus stops all around Brisbane, there is no other festival that mixes the excitement of performance while discovering nooks and crannies of Brisbane. Quiet hours at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre are an opportunity to explore the Centre at your own pace. During quiet hours, we dim the lights, lower the sounds and pause some activities. This creates a soothing space for you to explore at your own pace. This designated time is intended for those who prefer or may benefit from a quieter and more relaxed surrounding. This may include those with autism, sensory sensitivities, disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses or anyone who prefers less sensory stimulation.
