Join this special Bush Kindy for a fun interactive Kamishibai story about Pickles the Platypus, and enjoy nature-based play, craft, and exploration. Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity please email us. Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
