Talk to a Planner sessions help residents, business owners, community groups and industry professionals understand Brisbane City Plan 2014 (City Plan) and how it relates to their building and construction plans.
Talk to a Planner is available all year round, with additional sessions held regularly across the city for your convenience.
During these free sessions you can speak face-to-face with a planning specialist, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how City Plan relates to your property.
Council also has a team of dedicated officers who can answer simple questions about your development application over the phone during business hours (9am-4pm, Monday-Friday). To speak to an officer please phone Council on 07 3403 8888 and ask to speak with a Planning Information Officer.

Craig & Karl: Double Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. Employing Craig & Karl’s signature visual language, defined by bold colour, graphic precision, and infectious joy, the exhibition explores the artists’ three-decade-long creative partnership, their influence on global public art and design trends, and the enduring impact of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art & Design, where the artists first met almost 30 years ago. Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway).
