Talk to a Planner sessions help residents, business owners, community groups and industry professionals understand Brisbane City Plan 2014 (City Plan) and how it relates to their building and construction plans.Talk to a Planner is available all year round, with additional sessions held regularly across the city for your convenience.During these free sessions you can speak face-to-face with a planning specialist, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how City Plan relates to your property.Council also has a team of dedicated officers who can answer simple questions about your development application over the phone during business hours (9am-4pm, Monday-Friday). Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of "taking a trip up the tower" happily continues at Museum of Brisbane.The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane's oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia's largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Children's storytime in the park - Wynnum Wading Pool Park, Wynnum
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers.First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.Location: This session is held in Whale Park, near the Wynnum Jetty (around 137 Wynnum Esplanade). Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.Walk timesDaily departures at 11am and 1pm, Monday to Saturday.Walks last about one hour and are taken at a gentle pace.Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre.Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
