Bookings essential. Learn the basics of stand-up paddle boarding. This lesson includes safety and awareness, paddle techniques and activity tips. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. A sunsafe top will be provided. Bring a towel and spare clothes.

Children’s storytime in the park - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. Native wildlife live all around us - from our backyards, to local parks and nature reserves. But have you had a chance to meet them up close? Join our wildlife expert this Christmas season as they introduce you to amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds. Learn more about these unique Australian animals and how you can help your wildlife neighbours. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the environment centre. All children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Toowong
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus.
