Gathering presents Toni Janke.

Singer/Songwriter, Toni Janke is a First Nations woman with family connections to the Wuthathi, Yadhaigana and Meriam peoples of Cape York and Murray Island in the Torres Strait, North Queensland. Toni began singing and playing the guitar at a young age. She has written and recorded original albums on her own independent music label, Toni Janke Productions.

Toni is a prolific songwriter and has written hundreds of original songs. She regularly performs at local gigs and interstate festivals and was busy in the studio in 2024 recording new music which is due to be released soon.

Check out Toni Janke's live set at the Queen Street Mall main stage between 12 noon and 1pm.

Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
