What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

Botanical treasure hunt

Crack the clues to discover the natural treasures hidden within the Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha. Work alone or in a group and explore the Botanic Gardens to solve this exciting treasure hunt. We have an activity suitable for ages 12 and under, with 2 age appropriate treasure hunt activities to choose from. Please bring a pencil or pen and wear a hat and enclosed shoes. This is a self-guided activity as you wander the botanic gardens. Collect your treasure hunt flyer from the Visitor Information Centre.

Find out at this fun and informative hands-on activity where you can get up close and personal with some 'compost critter' mini-beasts. Discover fascinating facts and find out why compost critters are nature’s superheroes!  Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes early to check in. All children must be supervised by an adult. Wear sun-safe clothing and fully enclosed shoes. Bring insect repellent and sunscreen for later use. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity can be delivered indoors if required. Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes early to check in. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent as some shows may take place outside.
