Winnam NAIDOC Community Festival
Join the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of Bayside to celebrate the 2025 NAIDOC theme of ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy' with a mix of traditional and contemporary performances and art, crafts, and interactive activities such as traditional weaving.

NAIDOC Week - Aboriginal art and cultural workshop
Join this fun and informative art and cultural workshop with presenter Rick Roser. This highly engaging and insightful experience builds awareness of Aboriginal cultures and shares knowledge through stories, art, music, and practical hands-on activities. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the environment centre. All children must be directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - Celtic Women
Lord Mayor's City Hall presents Australian Celtic Women. Get ready to be swept off your feet by the delightful Australian Celtic Women show! This all-female ensemble welcomes you on a whimsical journey through rolling hills, enchanting moors, and heavenly melodies that will make your heart sing. Enjoy their angelic voices, dazzling costumes, and electrifying fiddle performances that sprinkle pure magic into the air. Enjoy celtic favourites like Danny Boy, Amazing Grace and the Skye Boat song (Outlander), while they weave a vibrant tapestry of music that lights up the stage. We welcome players from all backgrounds and experiences who would love to come socialise and have fun with different people every week. We provide tutorials for new players as well. Gathering - Sue Ray
Gathering presents Sue Ray. Sue Ray, winner of the 2022 Blue 'n' Roots QMusic award, is a First Nations artist who captivates audiences with her original brand of country/blues and roots music, smoky rich voice, and high energy performances. Often compared to artists like Bonnie Raitt, Chris Stapleton and Lucinda Williams, Sue's sound crosses genres allowing her appeal to a wide audience. Catch Sue Ray's live performance from 12 noon to 1pm at the main stage of Queen Street Mall. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
2025 Brisbane Anywhere Festival
A festival of performances where Brisbane's undiscovered backyards, businesses, bus stops and warehouses become the stage, anywhere but where you'd expect it. From theatre on rooftops, warehouses and beaches, music in planetariums and backyards, comedy, immersive shows and performances popping up in bus stops all around Brisbane, there is no other festival that mixes the excitement of performance while discovering nooks and crannies of Brisbane. Asia Pacific Triennial Kids
The Queensland Art Gallery │ Gallery of Modern Art (QAOGMA) Children’s Art Centre presents a collection of seven artist projects for Asia Pacific Triennial Kids. Children can explore their creativity through making and multimedia interactives and reflect on the experiences of others through drawing and video works by artists from India, Aotearoa New Zealand, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia / Palestine, Cambodia and Timor-Leste.
