RBWH Foundation Ruby Gala Ball
The RBWH Foundation Ruby Gala Ball marks a special milestone as we toast 40 years of health and medical innovation, supporting world-leading patient care and research. It will be a night of meaningful moments celebrating lives saved and breakthroughs made possible through the power of giving. Brisbane City Hall will be illuminated in our Foundation Ruby as we gather for a night of inspiration, generosity and celebration. We will be joined by prominent media personalities, including our MC for the evening, Sharyn Ghidella from 10 News, and special guest Kat Feeney from 612 ABC Radio Brisbane, who will lend their voices to an unforgettable evening of purpose and powerful storytelling. Dance Nation
Dance Nation by Clare Barron tells the story of a group of young dancers striving for success in a national competition, confronting themes of identity and ambition as the lines between friend and rival are blurred. Multi-award winning Queensland theatre company, THAT Production Company is set to bring Clare Barron’s acclaimed play Dance Nation to Metro Arts’ New Benner Theatre this August in its Queensland debut. After Romance (Recital)
After a sold-out collaboration in 2023 (La Canción), Voxalis Opera and the Queensland Art Song Festival reunite for another unforgettable evening of music. Headlining the program is internationally acclaimed Australian-Kiwi baritone Morgan Pearse, returning to Australia ahead of a dynamic season of performances with Pinchgut Opera, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Renowned for his versatility and fearless artistry, Morgan has performed with Opernhaus Zürich, English National Opera, and the Verbier Festival, among other leading European arts organizations. He is joined by rising mezzo-soprano Lauren Towns and pianist Reuben Tsang, promising an evening of extraordinary artistry. After Romance delves into the emotional complexities that follow romantic courtship, exploring love beyond passion in a program of exquisite songs and duets by Schumann, Brahms, Korngold, Strauss and more. Don’t miss this intimate recital, where world-class and emerging voices unite for a deeply moving musical journey.
