Join us during Brisbane Festival and in celebration of International Day of Sign Languages 2026 for a special walk through Brisbane City Council's Outdoor Gallery exhibition, AMPLIFY ME!This tour will be supported with an interpreter.AMPLIFY ME! is an exhibition celebrating local artists with lived experience of disability, showcasing powerful creative voices across Brisbane's Outdoor Gallery.Meet the artists and curator behind AMPLIFY ME! as we explore selected works from this exhibition, honouring neurodivergent perspectives in contemporary art. Listen to insights into their practice and process directly from the artists and hear from curator Nicole Crosswell about the development of AMPLIFY ME! and the significance of centring lived experience within Brisbane's Outdoor Gallery program.Take a leisurely walk and gain a deeper understanding of how creativity and self-expression can help amplify perspectives within the community.Everyone is welcome, although bookings are essential. Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's botanic gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Gathering presents Nana Magic's Deadly Adventures.Join us for Nana Magic's Deadly Adventures, a vibrant and engaging children's performance created by acclaimed First Nations artist Uraine Roelofs.A proud Kokatha Mirning and Greek woman from Ceduna on South Australia's Far West Coast, Uraine is an accomplished performer, producer, director, and writer with a strong background in theatre. Alongside presenting her own creative works, she collaborates on a range of community theatre projects that celebrate storytelling, culture, and connection.Through the enchanting world of Nana Magic, young audiences are invited on a journey that highlights the importance of caring for Country, protecting native wildlife and waterways, and looking after one another. Blending storytelling, culture, and creativity, the performance encourages children and families to connect with the environment and the values of respect, responsibility, and community.Join us during the September school holidays for a special performance of Nana Magic's Deadly Adventures on the Queen Street Mall Main Stage, from 12 noon to 1pm on Wednesday 23 September.This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tive Nations.
