Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projectsThe Moorhen Flats Norman Creek FREECS meet the 1st Sunday of the month 8-11am, as well as every Thursday 8-11am.

Volunteer Bushcare Working Bee - Tennis Avenue Bushcare Group
Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program. Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: Managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projectsThe Tennis Avenue Bushcare Group meet the first Sunday of the month, and every Thursday morning, both 7am - 9am at Tennis Avenue Park, 23 Tennis Avenue, Ashgrove.
Ninja warrior
Bookings essential. Calling all Ninja Warriors! This activity program will have you moving like a Ninja in no time. Using mostly body strength, we have some fun training activities and games to test your Ninja skills and challenge your strength. Improving your agility, grip strength and upper body power to move like a Ninja. This fun program will have you jumping, hanging and lifting your own body weight to get through the session. Suitable for all fitness levels. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 6-17 years.
Stand-up paddle boarding
Bookings essential. Learn the basics of stand up paddle boarding. This lesson includes safety instruction, paddle techniques and activity tips. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 10-17 years.
Kayaking
Bookings essential. Come along for some fun paddling while exploring your local waterway. All equipment and instruction is provided, perfect for beginners or those with experience. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 6-17 years.
Nature Play for 5–8 years
Bookings essential. This inclusive nature play program is open to children 5-8 years. Have fun in the mud kitchen or have a go at loose parts play. This is a great opportunity for families to engage in outdoor play together, with something for every age and stage of development.
First 5 Forever toddler time
Meet other parents and toddlers for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn action rhymes and songs which will help your child’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged 1-2 years. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

Meet other parents and babies for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn songs and action rhymes to nurture your baby's pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills.
