Bookings essential. Come and join in the fun of this adventure walk. Every family who comes along will receive a passport with a list of key features to find including scenery and animals. Your family will work together as a team to find all the special locations, then get them stamped in your passport. Siblings under 3 years of age are welcome to attend for free.
This is a Gold'n'Kids event suitable for seniors and young people 3 years and over.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Come join the fun with Gumtree Kids – Brisbane’s favourite pop-up sensory play experience! Perfect for little ones aged 6 months to 7 years, our sessions are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection through food-based, non-toxic, and nature play activities — all completely safe for little hands and mouths. Every setup includes a BabyZone for our tiniest explorers, and we’re excited to announce our brand new baby-only classes – check the website for details! Freestyle scooter clinic
Learn new skills on your scooter that will help you ride skate parks safely and have more fun! This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 4-17 years.
Christmas On Queen
From roller-skating candy canes to still walkers and musical trios (and even a grumpy strop!), Queen Street Mall will be taken over by roving Christmas performances over the month of December. Come and say hello! Times: 11am–3pm daily 4pm–8pm daily. Where: Roving throughout Queen Street Mall.
Craig & Karl: Double Vision
Craig & Karl: Double Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. Employing Craig & Karl’s signature visual language, defined by bold colour, graphic precision, and infectious joy, the exhibition explores the artists’ three-decade-long creative partnership, their influence on global public art and design trends, and the enduring impact of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art & Design, where the artists first met almost 30 years ago. School Holiday Activity - Festive Hub
It’s celebration time at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Kids come join us at the festive hub and make seasonal cards made with leaf confetti, mini wreaths and ornaments made from natural and recycled materials. See how long you can make a paper chain. Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided. Please wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a keep cup or water bottle. Meet at the Auditorium. This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the plant back into Planet.
Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
Lunchtime Christmas Carols
Hear the melodic voices of the Underground Opera as they enchant you with a heart-warming repertoire of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols. Set against the festive backdrop of the city, these special lunchtime performances bring joy, nostalgia, and holiday cheer to your day. Take a break from shopping or the office, gather with friends and family, and let the soaring harmonies transport you into the spirit of Christmas. When: 15-24 December. Times: 12pm and 1pm. Community Immunisation Clinic - Zillmere
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.
