Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Gathering - Jamiesha
Gathering presents Jamiesha. With roots in the Barkindji Nation and Western Samoa, this Brisbane-based trio melds music styles ranging from Pop, Rock, Soul, to Hip-Hop. Together they convey a message of equality and unity for all, while advocating the urgent need for change in the treatment of the Indigenous people of this country. Join us to hear Jamiesha live on the main stage of Queen Street Mall from 12 noon-1pm. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
Community Immunisation Clinic - Toowong
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.
Junior Explorers: Nature journaling
Children will enjoy a fun and fascinating workshop learning the basics of nature journaling. Nature journaling is the creative practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. This fun, easy, relaxing practice encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of curiosity and wonder! Please bring your own basic sketch/art book. Other materials provided. After the workshop, visit the environment centre or remain in the reserve to continue nature journaling. Requirements: Please bring your own sketch/art book or pad. Arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. All children must be accompanied throughout by a supervising adult booked into the event. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed shoes, and bring insect repellent. Please bring an outdoor chair if you would like to use one. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain and can be delivered indoors if required. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
