Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.
The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour.
Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.
Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway).

Children’s storytime in the park - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

For the Love of Tony & Friends will take the audience on a musical journey celebrating the songs and life of iconic American artist Tony Bennett, along with memorable songs from the greatest crooners of all time. Throughout a remarkable career spanning seven decades, no artist in popular music has recorded for as long and at such a high level of excellence as Tony Bennett. Acclaimed Australian vocalist Chris Lloyds will be accompanied by the Jamie Rigg Band will showcase a repertoire of timeless standards, treating the audience to classic melodies and heartfelt stories.
