Join us as we explore the fascinating world of mini beasts and discover the vital roles they play in our environment — from pollination to decomposition — along with their hidden talents!
Experience a garden from an ant’s perspective, observe bugs in action as they carry out their important ecological duties, and discover how we can all help take care of our environment.
Important information before registering: Recommended for ages 7 - 12 years. Bookings required for all people participating - supervising adults do not require a ticket. A ratio of 1 adult per 4 children is required. Please be aware that if you are very sensitive to motion sickness, this program may not be suitable.On the day of the event: Arrive 10 minutes before the start of the event to check in at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event is held indoors.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! Aqua aerobics
Experience an excellent, low-impact cross-training workout in the water. Feel the benefits of exercise without the pain. Using minimum impact movements, participants will develop strength, mobility and movement in a fun environment. This class will be conducted in the outdoor 25m/50m pool.
Christmas On Queen
From roller-skating candy canes to still walkers and musical trios (and even a grumpy strop!), Queen Street Mall will be taken over by roving Christmas performances over the month of December. Come and say hello! Times: 11am–3pm daily 4pm–8pm daily. Where: Roving throughout Queen Street Mall.

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Deep water running
This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there's no need to worry about being in deep water however you do require basic swimming skills. Classes will be held in the outdoor 50m pool. You must bring your own buoyancy belt for this class.
