What You'll Need
Wear enclosed shoes/water shoes (not crocs or any shoes that can fall off) and clothes suitable to paddle in and get wet. Bring a towel and a change of clothes.
Meeting Point
At the boat ramp, at the end of Col Gardner Drive, Morningside. Meet at the gazebo near the fishing pontoon.

Join a guided walk to discover some of the useful native plants along the Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track at Boondall Wetlands.Go wild and discover edible Australian native plants at Boondall Wetlands reserve. Join environment centre staff on a short guided tour along the Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track (place of useful plants) showcasing some of the wild edible plants used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and colonial peoples, as well as some other surprising uses. Please note collecting plants is not permitted in this protected conservation reserve.After the walk, join a short tasting session where you can try some foods prepared using native plants and find out more about some of the 'bush food' native plants suitable for backyards and balconies in Brisbane.Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring water and a snack as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event will go ahead in light rain and can be adapted for indoors if required.
