About This Event
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Children’s storytime in the park - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 12-17 years.
Adelaide Street tunnel open day
To celebrate the opening of Brisbane Metro’s Adelaide Street tunnel, Brisbane City Council is inviting the community to a tunnel open day on Wednesday 24 September from 10.30am to 2pm. Be one of the first to walk through the newly constructed Adelaide Street tunnel while enjoying live music from a local Brisbane talent string ensemble. After exploring the tunnel, stroll to nearby Reddacliff place with the vibrant Wednesday markets offering an exceptional array of stalls. This unique event will be an exclusive opportunity to experience the tunnel, before it opens for bus and metro services. Registrations are essential, and numbers are limited per session. Register for one of the available 20-minute sessions between 10.30am and 2pm. Note: The tunnel has a steep 10% gradient and all visitors must exercise caution when entering and exiting the tunnel. When registering, please review the safety and accessibility considerations. If you have accessibility requirements, including the use of a wheelchair or pram, contact the team via metro@brisbane.qld.gov.au Meeting point: Reddacliff Place. All attendees to sign-in at the event stall.

Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Craig & Karl: Double Vision
Craig & Karl: Double Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. Employing Craig & Karl’s signature visual language, defined by bold colour, graphic precision, and infectious joy, the exhibition explores the artists’ three-decade-long creative partnership, their influence on global public art and design trends, and the enduring impact of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art & Design, where the artists first met almost 30 years ago. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Gathering presents Jamiesha Jamiesha is a dynamic and powerful band that draws inspiration from their Indigenous roots in the Barkindji nation and Western Samoa and their music is a celebration of culture, pride, and protest. Based in Meanjin/Brisbane, their original music is a unique fusion of pop, rock, hip hop, and soul reflecting the diverse and colourful nature of their heritage. Join us on Wednesday 24 September from 12 noon to 1pm to see Jamiesha jam out on the Queen Street Mall stage. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
