Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Children’s storytime in the park - Wynnum Wading Pool Park, Wynnum
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Location: This session is held in Whale Park, near the Wynnum Jetty (around 137 Wynnum Esplanade). On-street and park parking is available nearby.
Outdoor Gallery: Guided walking tour of 'Craig & Karl: Rear Vision' exhibition
Join us for a walking tour of Council's latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition as part of Carers' Week. Council’s Outdoor Gallery displays art in light boxes, banners, vitrines and evening projections across Brisbane. The program transforms our city’s laneways, streets and car parks into imaginative and engaging spaces for everyone to enjoy. From 14 June to 20 October 2025 explore Craig & Karl: Rear Vision, a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most successful creative exports. With their signature visual language defined by bold colour, graphic precision and infectious joy, the exhibition features some of Craig & Karl's most celebrated series, exploring themes of community, identity, imagination and love. Co-curated by Carrie McCarthy and Angela Goddard from Griffith University Art Museum, the exhibition includes many works that have never been exhibited in Australia. Craig & Karl: Rear Vision will serve as a homecoming prelude ahead of their Australian-exclusive exhibition and major public art interventions with Griffith University Art Museum and Brisbane Festival in September 2025. Craig & Karl: Double Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. Employing Craig & Karl’s signature visual language, defined by bold colour, graphic precision, and infectious joy, the exhibition explores the artists’ three-decade-long creative partnership, their influence on global public art and design trends, and the enduring impact of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art & Design, where the artists first met almost 30 years ago. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.
