Get up close and discover the feathered, furry and scaly friends that live in our neighbourhoods.Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers.Native wildlife live all around us, from our backyards to local parks and nature reserves. But have you had a chance to meet them up close?Join our wildlife expert for a special Bush Kindy wildlife experience as they introduce children to a variety of Australian animals, including amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds. Discover what makes these creatures unique, learn how to be a wildlife-friendly neighbour, and enjoy an interactive experience designed especially for young children and their families.This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation care group interested in attending a similar activity, please send an email.Requirements on the day:Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre.All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent.Please bring drinking water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.Some components of the session may take place outdoors.Note: All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.Walk timesDaily departures at 11am and 1pm, Monday to Saturday.Walks last about one hour and are taken at a gentle pace.Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre.Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
