Bring your little ones (aged 0-1) to Karawatha Forest and let them discover the magic of free play in nature. This relaxed, outdoor session introduces babies to the wonders of the bush while offering families a safe, welcoming space to connect with each other and their local reserve.Requirements: All babies must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed walking shoes, and insect repellent. Join us for a guided Forest Therapy session and experience the benefits of slowing down in nature.This small-group program offers a peaceful, accessible way to connect with Brisbane's natural areas. Led by a qualified Forest Therapy guide, the session includes a series of simple sensory and mindfulness-based activities during a gentle walk through bushland trails. Throughout the experience, participants will be invited to engage with the natural environment through observation, personal reflection, and sensory awareness.Forest Therapy has been shown to support wellbeing, reduce stress, and strengthen our connection to nature and community.The session finishes with a shared tea ceremony, offering time for conversation and connection.Requirements on the day:Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centreWear a hat and sun protection, fully enclosed walking shoes, an extra warm layer of clothing, a raincoat / umbrella if the weather is inclement and bring insect repellentNo food outlets onsite so bring a snack if requiredBring a water bottle and something to sit on (lightweight chair / towel / small mat) if requiredNote: This activity will go ahead in light rain.
