Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Perfect Little Planet
Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. This show contains some flashing light sequences.
Deep water running
This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there's no need to worry about being in deep water however you do require basic swimming skills. Classes will be held in the outdoor 50m pool. You must bring your own bouyancy belt for this class.
Tycho Goes to Mars
Our favourite cheeky dog is blasting off to discover the red planet, Mars. Tycho is in search of water to fly his steam-powered space kennel back home. But how will he find water on Mars, when it looks so cold, dusty and dry? Produced by Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks, Museums Victoria. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.
Craig & Karl: Double Vision
Craig & Karl: Double Vision is a dynamic, playful exploration of one of Queensland's most internationally successful creative exports. Employing Craig & Karl’s signature visual language, defined by bold colour, graphic precision, and infectious joy, the exhibition explores the artists’ three-decade-long creative partnership, their influence on global public art and design trends, and the enduring impact of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art & Design, where the artists first met almost 30 years ago. Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Passport to the Universe
Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, beneath the rings of Saturn, into the heart of the Orion Nebula, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole. Narrated by Tom Hanks. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
