Come and check out the Visible Ink Takeover of the QSM featuring Milie Atlas, an emerging young local artist! Fun, honest, and unapologetically herself, Millie Atlas is an artist who doesn’t shy away from her feelings. A go-getter at heart, Millie blends the emotive pop sensibilities of artists like Quinnie and Maisie Peters with the mesmerising folk influences of Maggie Rogers. Raised on a diet of Missy Higgins and Taylor Swift, her songwriting captures authentic, relatable moments with lyrics that linger long after the music fades. Fresh off her sold-out headline show on January 18, Millie continues to make her mark as she gears up to open for David McCredie at Blackbear Lodge on March 1 2026. Known for her energetic stage presence and heartfelt performances, she creates an immersive live experience that draws fans into her world. With her unique fusion of storytelling and vibrant pop-folk energy, Millie Atlas is a rising talent carving a bold path through the Australian music scene.
Millie will be performing on the Main Stage of the Queen Street Mall at 12pm to 12:30pm and 1pm to 1:30pm.

Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - Mariana Verna Sextet
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Mariana Verna Sextet. Returning to the Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert Series after a celebrated debut in April of 2025, Mariana Verna is a Magandjin-based jazz vocalist and educator recognised for her warm tone, expressive phrasing, and deep passion for improvisation. A captivating performer, Mariana brings spontaneity and soul to every stage she graces, from the Brisbane Jazz Club to intimate venues across the city. In addition to her performance work, Mariana is the creator of the BNE Jazz Guide, a dedicated platform that supports and promotes Brisbane's vibrant jazz community. Her dual role as both artist and advocate has made her a vital voice in keeping the city's jazz culture thriving and accessible. For this special midday performance, Mariana will be joined by an outstanding ensemble of local talent: Harry Beeton (drums), Joe Machen (piano), Connor Perkins (upright bass), Alyssa Sinclair (trumpet), and Chris James (alto saxophone). Together, they'll deliver an hour of swing, soul, and inventive improvisation, a performance sure to delight jazz lovers and newcomers alike. This performance is AUSLAN interpreted.
