About This Event
Our children's program has classes at 5.30pm, three times per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday).The majority of students in our children's program are 6-12 years old, but we have some children start as young as 4 or 5 and some parents who join in the class with their child(ren).Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our advanced yellow, green, and brown belt students.Children learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and learning to socialise and work with other children of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Children's storytime in the park - Pallara Park, Pallara
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.Walk timesDaily departures at 11am and 1pm, Monday to Saturday.Walks last about one hour and are taken at a gentle pace.Meeting point: City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway).Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

The session is performed either seated on a chair or standing while holding onto a chair for stability and support. No floor work.This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.
