The Welcome Walk is the Romero Centre’s major annual fundraising appeal — and 𝑎 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑎𝑐𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 for people seeking safety in Brisbane.

Join us for a 3km or 6km walk along the Brisbane River, followed by an afternoon of cultural performances, storytelling, delicious Ethiopian coffee, BBQ, vibrant market stalls, family-friendly activities — and a lucky draw!

With just a $20 donation at registration, you can help provide an essential food care pack to someone doing it tough.

Your participation directly supports people seeking asylum with vital services including case coordination, housing, food relief, English classes, employment support, and social inclusion.
