Welcome to Practical Wing Chun! We are the martial arts school in Brisbane.
Wing Chun is a Kungfu well known for its close quarters combat. It was designed for the street environment where aggression occurs more often.
Practical Wing Chun welcomes people of all ages, gender, race, religious beliefs, skill levels, and body types. We believe people of all walks of life should experience the benefits that martial arts offer.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Get active with like-minded people by maintaining or increasing your independence, improve brain function and boost mood with strength training. This low-impact workout is suitable for all fitness levels. This is GOLD event suitable for seniors.
Yoga
Focus on a range of movements designed for active, healthy ageing and to relax the mind and body. Stretching, breathing, strength and balance exercises are included by incorporating standing poses and mat work into the session. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.
Children’s storytime in the park - Wynnum Wading Pool Park, Wynnum
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Location: This session is held in Whale Park, near the Wynnum Jetty (around 137 Wynnum Esplanade). On-street and park parking is available nearby.
Free guided tour - City Botanic Gardens
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Gathering presents Lalania Tusa - Seeded Jewellery. Lalania Tusa is a contemporary Aboriginal Artist of the Kuku Yalanji Tribe in the rainforest of Far North Queensland. Growing up on Kuku Yalanji country, Lalania has always felt a strong connection to the land and enjoys translating traditional customs and knowledge through a variety of techniques and art mediums.
