Select a Date
About This Event
Children will enjoy a fun and fascinating workshop learning the basics of nature journaling. Nature journaling is the creative practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. This fun, easy, relaxing practice encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of curiosity and wonder! Please bring your own basic sketch/art book. Other materials provided. After the workshop, visit the environment centre or remain in the reserve to continue nature journaling. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, email KFDC@brisbane.qld.gov.au Requirements: Arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. Bring a yoga mat per participant (you may bring a towel, but a mat is preferred). Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
