About This Event
Children will enjoy a fun and fascinating workshop learning the basics of nature journaling. Nature journaling is the creative practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. This fun, easy, relaxing practice encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of curiosity and wonder!
Please bring your own basic sketch/art book. Other materials provided. After the workshop, visit the environment centre or remain in the reserve to continue nature journaling.
Requirements: Please bring your own sketch/art book or pad. Arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. All children must be accompanied throughout by a supervising adult booked into the event. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed shoes, and bring insect repellent. Please bring an outdoor chair if you would like to use one. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain and can be delivered indoors if required. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
