For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Urban Utilities - Water Stories Art Experience
Come and join us for a unique event for children aged 8 years and over! Have a yarn and learn traditional First Nations customs and painting techniques with Our Yarn (Ngalin Ayeye) at Urban Utilities Visual Art Water Stories Experience. This is an interactive and engaging painting workshop for children, led by Our Yarn, that raises awareness about the urban water cycle and its deep connection to First Nations culture, histories and stories. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-smart clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This activity can be delivered indoors if required. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Quiet hours at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre are an opportunity to explore the Centre at your own pace. During quiet hours, we dim the lights, lower the sounds and pause some activities. This creates a soothing space for you to explore at your own pace. This designated time is intended for those who prefer or may benefit from a quieter and more relaxed surrounding. This may include those with autism, sensory sensitivities, disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses or anyone who prefers less sensory stimulation.
