About This Event
Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more.
Bush Kindy can go for up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week.
On the day of the events: Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the event to check in at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed walking shoes and insect repellent. Please bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. It is recommended to bring a spare change of clothes as sessions may include messy play.Note: Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Ubiquitous eucalypts - Special walk - Brisbane Botanic Gardens
Discover the beauty of eucalypts in this special walk on everything Eucalypt. It includes a talk on their unique characteristics, their incredible adaptation to Australian climates and their significant role in supporting biodiversity in Australia’s ecosystems. You will learn how to identify eucalypts growing in your backyard. This special guided walk celebrates National Eucalypt Day, held annually on 23 March and will be led by the Volunteer Guides of the Brisbane Botanic Garens Mt Coot-tha. Requirements: This walk requires participation in physical activities such as longer walking distances (over 1km), walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs and limited periods of standing. Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
