About This Event
Discover the beauty of eucalypts in this special walk on everything Eucalypt. It includes a talk on their unique characteristics, their incredible adaptation to Australian climates and their significant role in supporting biodiversity in Australia’s ecosystems. You will learn how to identify eucalypts growing in your backyard.
This special guided walk celebrates National Eucalypt Day, held annually on 23 March and will be led by the Volunteer Guides of the Brisbane Botanic Garens Mt Coot-tha.
Requirements: This walk requires participation in physical activities such as longer walking distances (over 1km), walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs and limited periods of standing. Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Centre.
Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
